Our Captain Dan gives credit to the winning crew on his websight

We attended a memorial for my Mother in Law, Juanita H. Koss in Grand Rapids, MI. It was a gathering of her children, their spouses and many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Others attended as well and it was a wonderful celebration of her life. Two sons, two son in laws, a grandson and a grandson in law went on a fishing trip in Lake Michigan. Her youngest son caught a 21.5 lb Salmon and it was the winning fish in the Salmon tournament that was being held in Grand Haven, MI. She would have approved and I am sure she may have been the deciding factor in the win. Pictures are posted in Greg Koss's Blog, Followtheyellowbrickroad.blogspot.com.

We have been busy and it is time to get this going once again. This morning we watched most of the ceremonies about the 10th Anniversary of 9-11-2001. I was scheduled to speak at a seminar in Columbus Ohio which was done that afternoon on identity theft. Some people were trying to improve communication between different organization even then, before the tragic events of that day. That effort continues as much of the communication is one way and is still difficult. Of course there are many components in taking precautions to protect the country. I was impressed with the respect shown for the victims and the way they were remembered.

Best intentions!

Well I was not able to make a week of everyday posts. I have my excuses and won't bother in publishing any of them.  None are worthy, as they say.  Never the less here a few photo's of my recent activities. The first photo is of my 1989 M B in the driveway outside in January, we had a short thaw, next is an old football with the real signatures of 1958-1959 Baltimore Colts football stars which my Dad got back then.  3rd is a 66 Corvair new car brochure which I am going to give to a 66 Corvair owner. Then an owners manual and an ad from Holiday magazine for 1967 Caprice. I took the photos and put the items on E Bay.  Who knows what will happen. I currently have 20 items up and way more to go given the time.

So I heard about

The 365 day challenge............................

The other day, Katie told me about her new project. Project 365. It's easy... simply pledge to take and post at least one photo every day for a year.
I have decided to take Katie's challenge and take and post at least one photo every day for a year.  It will take some discipline and may be good for me in regimenting myself.  We will give it a try.
Yesterday was a little tough on the road and I will post a picture of that.  I may do this occasionally when travelling or other interests limit my opportunity to post.
This was yesterday on the Ohio Turnpike where we thought the roads would be better.
Just a little east of Toledo and only the first SNAFU on that road.  We had seen only one incident in Michigan and were driving south into the approaching storm.
The back porch removing some of the accumulation from a roof that is accessible and collects the white stuff.
The snow on the railing is the result of the last 12 hours and is about as much as a foot.
